cPanel is the control panel for your hosting account. It groups every common task into labelled sections so you rarely need to touch the server directly. This tour covers what each area does.
Logging In
You can reach cPanel two ways:
- Log in to the NairoHost client area at my.nairohost.site and open your service, then click the cPanel button.
- Go directly to yourdomain.com:2083 and enter your cPanel username and password.
The first method is easiest because it signs you in automatically.
The Main Sections
cPanel groups tools into panels. The ones you will use most are:
- Files: File Manager, backups, FTP accounts, and disk usage.
- Databases: MySQL Databases and phpMyAdmin.
- Domains: addon domains, subdomains, and redirects.
- Email: email accounts, forwarders, and spam filters.
- Metrics: visitor stats, bandwidth, and error logs.
- Software: Softaculous app installer and PHP version tools.
A search box sits at the top of the page. Typing a keyword such as "database" or "redirect" jumps straight to the matching tool.
The Sidebar Stats
The right-hand sidebar shows live account information:
- Disk usage and how much of your quota is used.
- Bandwidth used this month.
- The number of email accounts, databases, and subdomains.
- Your server IP address and the PHP version in use.
Check these figures before adding new sites or large uploads so you do not run out of space.
Where To Go Next
Most beginners start by creating an email account, installing a content management system through Softaculous, or uploading files with File Manager. Each of those has its own guide. If a tool is missing from your account, it may be disabled on your plan; contact support on WhatsApp at +254 796 358081 to check.
