This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the acceptable and prohibited uses of NairoHost's Services. By using our Services, you agree to comply with this policy.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not host, store, or transmit content that:

• Is illegal under Kenyan law or applicable international laws
• Infringes on copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secrets
• Contains child pornography or exploits minors in any way
• Promotes violence, terrorism, or hate speech
• Is defamatory, harassing, or threatening
• Contains phishing, scams, or fraudulent material
• Distributes malware, viruses, ransomware, or spyware

3. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

3.1 Spam & Unsolicited Email

• Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam)
• Running mail bombing programs
• Hosting pages advertised via spam
• Using purchased email lists without opt-in verification

3.2 Network Abuse

• Denial of Service (DoS) or DDoS attacks
• Port scanning or network probing
• IP spoofing
• Intercepting or monitoring network traffic without authorization

3.3 Resource Abuse

• Excessive CPU, memory, or disk I/O usage
• Running crypto miners or blockchain nodes
• File sharing or torrent sites that violate copyright
• Operating IRC servers or bots
• Hosting proxy servers, TOR exit nodes, or VPN services for third parties

3.4 Security Violations

• Unauthorized access to systems or data
• Distributing hacking tools or exploits
• Storing or transmitting stolen data
• Circumventing security measures

4. Email Policy

When using our email services:

• All mailing lists must be opt-in with verified consent
• Every email must include a working unsubscribe link
• Bounce messages must be processed and addresses removed
• You must maintain records of subscriber consent
• Sending limits: 500 emails per hour per domain

5. Resource Usage Limits

Shared hosting accounts are subject to the following limits:

• CPU usage: 25% of one core sustained
• Memory: As specified in your plan
• Inodes: 250,000 maximum
• Concurrent connections: 50
• Database size: 1 GB per database

Accounts exceeding these limits may be asked to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated solution.

6. Domain Registration

Domain registrations must comply with the policies of the respective registry (Kenic for .ke domains, ICANN for generic TLDs). Providing false WHOIS information may result in domain suspension.

7. Enforcement

NairoHost reserves the right to:

• Investigate suspected violations
• Suspend or terminate services without notice
• Remove prohibited content immediately
• Report illegal activities to law enforcement
• Charge an investigation fee for policy violations
• Refuse service to anyone for any reason
