cPanel is the control panel where you manage the technical side of your hosting: files, email accounts, databases, and one-click app installs. This guide shows you how to log in for the first time.
Ways to Reach cPanel
You can open cPanel in two common ways:
- Use the cPanel login URL from your welcome email.
- Add /cpanel to your domain, for example yourdomain.co.ke/cpanel (this works once your domain points to the server).
You can also access cPanel directly from inside the client area at my.nairohost.site, which avoids typing credentials again.
Logging In
- Open the cPanel login page.
- Enter your cPanel username from the welcome email.
- Enter your cPanel password.
- Click Log in.
First Things to Set Up
Once inside cPanel, these tools are the most useful for beginners:
- Email Accounts: create professional addresses like info@yourdomain.co.ke
- File Manager: upload and manage website files
- Softaculous Apps Installer: install WordPress in one click
- MySQL Databases: create databases for your applications
Security Tips
- Change your cPanel password on first login.
- Never share your cPanel credentials.
- Log out when using a shared or public computer.
If you cannot reach cPanel because your domain is not yet pointed to the server, use the direct cPanel URL from your welcome email instead. For help, contact support on WhatsApp at +254 796 358081.
