To make your website load on your domain, the domain must point to your hosting. The standard way to do this is by updating the domain nameservers. This guide covers the process for any domain.

The Nameservers You Need

Set your domain to use these NairoHost nameservers:

| Nameserver | Value | |------------|-------| | Primary | ns1.nairohost.site | | Secondary | ns2.nairohost.site |

If Your Domain Is Registered with NairoHost

  1. Log in to the client area at my.nairohost.site.
  2. Open the Domains section and select your domain.
  3. Click Nameservers.
  4. Confirm the NairoHost nameservers are set, then save.

If Your Domain Is Registered Elsewhere

  1. Log in to your current domain registrar.
  2. Find the Nameservers or DNS settings for your domain.
  3. Replace the existing nameservers with ns1.nairohost.site and ns2.nairohost.site.
  4. Save the changes.

For a .co.ke or .ke domain registered through another KENIC reseller, update the nameservers in that provider control panel.

After Updating

  • Changes can take up to 24 to 48 hours to take effect worldwide.
  • During this time some visitors may still see the old site.
  • Once propagation finishes, your domain will load your NairoHost site.
