How to Check Your Hosting Resource Usage in cPanel

Find out exactly where to view disk space, bandwidth, inodes, CPU, and memory usage inside your cPanel dashboard.

cPanel shows your current resource usage in real time, so you never have to guess how close you are to your limits. Checking these numbers regularly helps you act before a limit causes downtime.

Where to Look

Most usage figures appear in the Statistics sidebar on the right of the cPanel home screen. This panel lists disk usage, bandwidth, inodes, email accounts, databases, and addon domains at a glance.

How to Read the Key Metrics

  1. Log in to cPanel from your welcome email or via my.nairohost.site.
  2. Look at the Statistics panel on the home page.
  3. Review these values:
  • Disk Usage — storage used versus your quota.
  • Monthly Bandwidth Transfer — data transferred this cycle.
  • File Usage (Inodes) — total number of files and folders.
  • Email Accounts / Databases — counts against plan limits.

Checking CPU and Memory

For CPU, memory, and entry-process usage, open Metrics then Resource Usage. This page shows whether your account has hit any limits recently and includes a snapshot graph. A green status means you are within limits; a red or "faulted" status means a limit was reached.

What to Do With the Numbers

If any metric is consistently above 80 to 90 percent, plan ahead:

  • High disk or inodes: clear old files, logs, and backups.
  • High bandwidth: optimise images and enable caching.
  • High CPU or processes: review heavy plugins or upgrade.
