How to Migrate a WordPress Site with All-in-One WP Migration

The All-in-One WP Migration plugin is one of the easiest ways to move a WordPress site to NairoHost. It packages your files, database, themes, and plugins into a single file you import on the new server.

Step 1: Export From the Old Site

1. On your current WordPress site, install All-in-One WP Migration from Plugins → Add New
2. Go to All-in-One WP Migration → Export
3. Click Export To → File
4. Download the resulting .wpress file

Step 2: Set Up WordPress on NairoHost

1. In cPanel, install a fresh WordPress via Softaculous
2. Log in to the new /wp-admin
3. Install the same All-in-One WP Migration plugin

Step 3: Import

1. Go to All-in-One WP Migration → Import
2. Choose Import From → File and select your .wpress file
3. Confirm the overwrite warning
4. Wait for the import to finish, then log in with your old site's credentials

Handling Large Sites

The free version has an upload size limit. If your .wpress file is larger:

• Increase the WordPress upload limit, or
• Use the plugin's File Manager method to upload directly to /wp-content/ai1wm-backups

After Importing

• Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save twice
• Run AutoSSL in cPanel and confirm the site loads over HTTPS
• Test pages, forms, and the checkout if you run a store

Tip: Migrate while your domain still points to the old host, test on a temporary URL, then switch DNS once everything checks out.
