A professional email address that matches your domain (you@yourdomain.com) builds trust and keeps your business communication separate from personal accounts. cPanel makes creating one straightforward.

Create the Account

  1. Log in to cPanel and open the Email Accounts tool under the Email section.
  2. Click Create.
  3. If you host more than one domain, choose the correct domain from the dropdown.
  4. Enter the username (the part before the @) and a strong password, or use the password generator.
  5. Set a mailbox storage quota, or choose Unlimited if your plan allows it.
  6. Click Create to finish.

Send and Receive Mail

Once created, the account is immediately usable. You can access it through webmail at yourdomain.com/webmail, or configure it in a desktop or mobile mail client.

Recommended Mailbox Settings

| Setting | Value | | -------------- | ---------------------- | | Incoming server| mail.yourdomain.com | | IMAP port | 993 (SSL) | | Outgoing server| mail.yourdomain.com | | SMTP port | 465 (SSL) | | Username | full email address |

Tips

  • Use a unique, strong password for every mailbox.
  • Keep quotas reasonable so a single account cannot fill the whole hosting space.
  • Create role-based addresses such as info@, sales@, and support@ for different functions.
